The US Senate held another vote and successfully passed the PACT Act and the Camp Lejeune Justice Act tonight. The legislation paves the way for millions of veterans and their families to receive care and/or seek justice and compensation for a variety of issues, including burnpits exposures, Agent Orange exposures, and Camp Lejeune water contamination. The legislation, which was held up temporarily by Senate Republicans, was finally passed thanks in large part to enormous public pressure by advocates and veterans groups, including actor/comedian Jon Stewart. The legislation now goes to President Biden for signature.
