Camp Lejeune Contamination StudiesIn the News
Civilian Study Published in Environmental Health Journal
After months of research and data collection, a finalized study and findings has just been published by the Environmental Health Journal. The study, carried out by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) has been a long awaited study for civilians who served aboard Camp Lejeune and were potentially exposed to contaminated water. Benzene, TCE, PCE and more are reported to have contaminated water supplies aboard the Marine Corps base in NC for decades starting in the 1950s.
